Hampton Bays music program recognized

For the sixth year in a row, the Hampton Bays School District has been honored with a Best Communities for Music Education designation from the nonprofit NAMM Foundation for its outstanding commitment to music education. The district is one of 935 school districts from across the nation to earn the award.

To receive the recognition, Hampton Bays demonstrated outstanding achievement in its efforts to provide music access and education to all students. The district was required to answer detailed questions about its program, including funding, music class participation, instruction time and support.

Hampton Bays art student recognized in Parrish art show

Hampton Bays High School student Ivanna Jara was recently recognized as one of the outstanding underclass members in the Ones to Watch category as part of the Parrish Art Museum’s 2025 Student Exhibition. Her photography was featured in the exhibition along with artwork from her peers in Hampton Bays and other eastern Long Island schools.

The Hampton Bays School District extends its congratulations to Jara and the following talented artists whose work was selected to be displayed at the Parrish Art Museum:

Students entering the military to be honored at ceremony

The community is invited to celebrate high school seniors from the Hampton Bays, Southampton and Westhampton Beach school districts who have committed to entering the military upon graduation. The students will be honored at a sixth annual ceremony at Agawam Park in Southampton on Thursday, May 22, at 10 a.m.

Hampton Bays High School varsity lacrosse player Taylor Meyers remarkably scored her 100th career goal. The Baymen co-captain made the goal during a game against Deer Park. The Hampton Bays School District extends its congratulations to Meyers on this incredible accomplishment.

Talented Hampton Bays Middle School Life Skills art students. thumbnail266085
Talented Hampton Bays Middle School Life Skills art students recently dove deep into the wonders of the ocean by studying jellyfish, seahorses and fish. They then brought them to life by designing neon, glow-in-the-dark, 3D works of art. Each piece shines brightly on its own, but together they create an incredible “under the sea” glow-in-the-dark display.
